As part of a proposed renovation to the Moody Gardens Aquarium, we developed a small stingray exhibit just outside the gift shop, and main entrance. Designed as a sunken courtyard, a stretched fabric roof canopy and big-ass fans were the only method of shade and cooling provided. The walls pattern was an off-the-shelf form liner modified to include punched holes in the final wall installation inspired by constellations and mapping systems used for early exploration of the ocean.
